Your story is enough

Your story is enough

There is a persistent cultural whisper in midlife: you should have it all figured out. You should have achievements that are visible, a career that’s polished, wisdom that’s undeniable, and a story that is complete. If you don’t, a small voice reminds you: you’re behind, you’ve taken too long, you should have arrived by now.

I have felt that. Deeply.

When I launched Sisters & Sequins, I felt exposed. I had burned out. I had navigated perimenopause, hormonal swings, ADHD, and seasons of uncertainty. I carried questions about my worth and relevance. My story was messy, far from linear, and full of detours.

And then I saw it — the women arriving at my events, hesitant, unsure, carrying their own complicated stories. They didn’t need me to be perfect. They needed me to be real. Present. Honest about the setbacks, the learning, the moments of doubt and discovery.

Your story is enough.

Not tidy. Not complete. Not linear. But enough.

Your experiences — the resilience, the courage, the lessons learned, the creativity rediscovered — are your greatest assets. They are what connect you to others. They are what inspire. They are what reassure. They are what spark new possibilities.

If you’ve ever thought, I’m not ready, my story isn’t enough, I’ve taken too long, pause. That thinking comes from comparison, from timelines, from invisible rules that never truly belonged to you.

The truth is, your story matters. Your voice matters. Your journey matters. And the world — or the women around your table, or the community you build — needs it exactly as it is.

Sharing your story doesn’t require perfection. It requires presence. It requires honesty. And the willingness to let someone else see you fully — with all your contradictions, your brilliance, your doubts, your joy.

And if you want to explore this more deeply — to reconnect with your creativity, your wellbeing, and your courage in midlife — I’m excited to be running another retreat later this year. If it feels right for you, you can message me to join the waitlist.

Your story is enough. And it is ready to meet the world.
