You’re not behind — you’re becoming
Somewhere along the way, many of us picked up the belief that we’re late. Late to figure it out. Late to feel confident. Late to live the life we imagined we’d have by now.
Somewhere along the way, many of us picked up the belief that we’re late.
Late to figure it out. Late to feel confident. Late to live the life we imagined we’d have by now.
We measure ourselves against others. Against timelines we think we “should” have met. Milestones we were told define success. And when we don’t meet them, a quiet, persistent voice whispers: you’re behind.
But here’s the truth: growth doesn’t follow timelines. Becoming isn’t linear.
There are seasons where everything looks still from the outside. You may see routines that seem repetitive, days that blend into one another, choices that feel stalled. But inside, something is rearranging itself.
Old beliefs are loosening. New boundaries are forming. A quieter confidence is beginning to take root.
What often looks like “being stuck” is actually integration.
Your nervous system is catching up. Your values realigning. Your body is learning it is safe to want more.
Sometimes the shifts are subtle — a decision to prioritise your own needs, a moment of clarity about who you trust, a small act of creativity you’d previously dismissed. Other times, they are louder — leaving a job that no longer fits, pivoting your business, speaking up when before you would have stayed quiet.
All of it counts. Every piece of it matters.
Becoming is not about speed. It’s about the truth.
It’s about allowing yourself to arrive at the version of life that feels aligned, without rushing, without comparing, without guilt.
It’s about recognising that the path has been building you quietly, steadily, in ways no one else could see.
It’s about understanding that your journey is yours alone, with a rhythm that only you can follow.
So if you’re reading this feeling tender, reflective, or quietly hopeful, know this: you’re exactly where you need to be.
Not behind. Not late. Just in the middle of something meaningful.
And if you feel called to explore your wellbeing more deeply — particularly through perimenopause, menopause, and beyond — I’m excited to be running another retreat later this year. Spaces are limited, and if it feels right for you, you’re warmly invited to message me to join the waitlist.
This isn’t about rushing. It’s about stepping gently into what you’re ready for, exactly when you’re ready.
